Who We Are...
All trustees regularly visit Kenya at their own expense to initiate, supervise and monitor ongoing work. During these trips they are often accompanied by self funded friends who bring special expertise to projects. Trustees receive no remuneration for their work with AAF.
Denis Cannon
(Founding Trustee)
Retired from family fencing business in 2002. Founded AAF after first visit to Kenya in 1999. Keenly interested in all aspects of aid for Kenyan people.
Dr James Buckle
(Trustee)
Head of large local medical practice. Joined AAF in late 2003. Now heads up the AAF health programmes and Gai clinic support.
Dr. Rosie Crane
(Trustee)
Studied at Kings College Cambridge and University College London. Graduated on June 25th 2008.
Joined AAF in 2006 after many visits to Kenya, working at Gai Clinic. Special interests - children’s health and tropical diseases.
Colin Martin
(Founding Trustee)
Present M.D. of local heating engineering business. Has visited Kenya many times over 20 years with the “Wishing for a Well” charity. Brings expertise to many water and construction issues.
Tony Perry
(Trustee)
Spent many years as an engineer in Aerospace industry. Has a special interest in photography and video. Joined AAF in early 2003.
